Fairfax Water’s Fox Mill Pump Station Onsite Power Generation Project will begin construction in the Fall of 2009 for a period of approximately 2-1/2 years. The generator will provide continuity of Pump Station operations during interruptions in the commercial power supply. Construction work is scheduled during normal working hours and Fairfax Water will be taking steps necessary to minimize noise, traffic, and other construction impacts as much as possible.
